01What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file consisting of identifiers, website names, letters and numbers that your browser may store on your computer, phone or another device. It is passive: it contains no programs, viruses or spyware and cannot access device content. Websites may also use browser local storage (localStorage); the rules below apply equally to it.

02What they do

Cookies and local storage let a website remember your preferences, such as privacy choices. External services embedded in pages, such as a map, may place their own cookies.

03Types of cookies

Session cookies: temporary cookies deleted when the browser closes.

Persistent cookies: remain on your device for the period set in their parameters or until you delete them.

Cookies may be set by the website you visit or by third parties whose services are embedded in its pages.

04What we use on megamontaj.ro

The website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Your device stores only:

• mm-consent (browser local storage, set by megamontaj.ro): remembers whether you allowed or declined Google Map. It remains until you delete it from your browser; you can change it at any time through “Cookie settings”. It is necessary to respect your choice.
• mm-intro-seen (browser session storage, set by megamontaj.ro): remembers that you have already visited the website in this tab, so the full introduction does not repeat when you return to the homepage. It is cleared when the tab is closed.
• mm-promo-megapark (browser session storage, set by megamontaj.ro): remembers that you closed the Mega Park 1 announcement on the home page, so it does not reappear during the same visit. It is deleted when you close the browser.
• Google cookies: only if you allow the interactive map on the contact page. Google determines them, with purposes and durations described in its Google Cookie Policy.

If we add other services, we will activate them only with your consent and describe them on this page, including their provider, purpose and duration.

05Consent and preferences

On your first visit, choose “Accept all”, “Reject optional” or “Settings”. The Google map is optional external content. You can allow it in settings or directly on the Contact page.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page or the button below. Withdrawal immediately stops the map and future website connections to Google. It does not erase information already sent to Google or cookies already set by Google; you can delete those in your browser settings.

If you made a choice in an earlier version of the cookie panel, a refusal is retained, but previous consent no longer applies: we ask you again.

Cookies generally identify the device you use to access a website, rather than identifying you directly. Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

07Managing cookies in your browser

Browsers accept cookies by default, but you can block them, request a notification before they are saved or delete them, including those already set by Google. These settings are usually under “Options”, “Settings” or “Preferences”: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.

If you clear the website's local storage, the cookie panel will ask you about Google Map again.

08Security

Cookies are plain text: they cannot execute or replicate, so they are not viruses. For safer browsing, keep your browser up to date, set cookie preferences to the level you want and, when using a shared computer, configure the browser to clear browsing data on exit.
